About Coaching Canine Partners - Trainer Christy Hill
Christy has been invovled with dog activities and training for thirty years, starting ot learning how to train a hearing dog named Watson while attending college at California Polytechnic State University, Pomona.

Christy is a native of California, having grown up in Calabasas, then later living in various parts of Southern California before moving to San Diego in March of 2008. Her formal education consists of a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology, an Associate of Science degree in Animal Health Technology, post-baccalaureate
in natral resorce edcation and obtaining a teaching credential in both the state of California and Utah. She has formerly held a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the state of california.

Christy's philosophy
: Creating behaviors you want by using positive dog training methods. Building relationships with trust for a better partnership. Behavior modification carefully specialized for you and your dog's needs. 

Throughout the years, Christy has worked for several veterinary hospitals, a dog kennel, a dog groomer, PetSmart, PetCo and had her own pet sitting business. However, Christy's interest in animals did not stop with dogs. She has worked for the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service and National Park Service dealing with a variety of species of animals in Law Enforcement and biological studies. Working with wildlife has given Christy the experience to use stress free approach with animals. Species handled include birds, reptiles, several different kinds of invertebrates, fish, and other mammals.

Christy received her Associate Nose Work Instructor's status (ANWI) and teaches K9 Nose Work(R) classes. Christy's focus is anything Nose Work and has grown to love the sport.

Title Achievements in Nose Work:

Belgian Malinois, Mickey has received: -Two NW3 titles, L1C (containers), L1I (Interors). ORT for Birch, Anise and Clove.

Labrador Retriever, Divine has received - NW1 and L1C (Containers). ORT for Birch, Anise and Clove.
McNabb Sheperd/Border Collie Cross, Duffy - ORT for Birch and Anise
